Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Secretary of the Cabinet Teddy Indra Wijaya explained that President Prabowo Subianto had to cancel his visit to Malaysia to meet Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim due to urgent matters in Jakarta.

“A crucial matter required his immediate attention in Jakarta, which is why he had to return,” he said in a statement on Monday (23/12/2024). 

He emphasized that President Prabowo is in good health and the decision was made due to unforeseen priorities.

President Prabowo had just concluded a state visit to Egypt, where he met President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and attended the D-8 Summit in Cairo. Upon arrival in Jakarta, he immediately held a limited meeting with ministers regarding preparations for Christmas 2024 and New Year 2025.

"Despite the change in plans, the President remains fully committed to overseeing national security and ensuring readiness for the upcoming holiday season," the Cabinet Minister said, as quoted by antaranews.com.
