Central Java Regional Police Initiates the “Aku Sedulurmu” Program, Ganjar: This is a Concrete Form of Concern

inp.polri.go.id. – Semarang. The Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, fully supports the steps taken by the Central Java Police to help deal with orphans through the Aku Sedulurmu program. According to him, the program is already inline with the post-pandemic measures prepared by the Central Java Provincial Government. This was conveyed by the Governor when giving a speech for the launch of Aku Sedulurmu, at the Patrajasa Hotel, Semarang. On that occasion, the General Chairperson of Bhayangkari, Juliati Sigit Prabowo, the wife of the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo. “When I was contacted by the Regional Police Chief, I was very happy because this was in line with our program. Incidentally, we did record the impact of the pandemic. During the data collection, Central Java Regional Police Chief, Pol. Inspector Gemeral Ahmad Luthfi, has created a foster children program for those whose parents have died. We will continue to encourage this so that it is practiced as a concrete form of concern," explained the governor. The governor also explained, from the data that has been entered, there were a total of 7,756 orphans in Central Java during the pandemic. That number is likely to increase, as data collection continues. "There are 7,756 (children) who have entered, they are orphans, orphans and orphans. Our data is complete, by name by address. Today the Central Java Regional Police have initiated, of course we are very happy. We hope that we will continue to promote programs like this in Central Java, including assistance for the general public, SMEs, street vendors, industries and others affected by the pandemic," he explained. Meanwhile, during the launch of the Aku Sedulurmu program, the Central Java Regional Police helped 333 orphans whose parents died during the pandemic. The handover was led by Bhayangkari General Chair Mrs. Juliati Sigit Prabowo, along with the Governor of Central Java, and the Regional Police Chief. "This is the first program implemented to help orphans due to Covid-19. Hopefully this will be an inspiration and example to all, so that the children are guaranteed education and their future. Let's help them reach their dreams and goals," explained Mrs. Juliati Sigit Prabowo.
