inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment Muhaimin Iskandar, emphasized the importance of the role of the younger generation and religious organizations in strengthening the democratic system in Indonesia.
"The movement of Muhammadiyah and other religious organizations, both in politics, economics, and education, has had an extraordinary influence," said Muhaimin on Thursday (12/5/2024).
The statement was delivered when opening the Political Academy held by the Muhammadiyah Student Association (IMM) at the Central Dakwah Building of PP Muhammadiyah, Jakarta.
As the General Chairperson of the National Awakening Party (PKB), Muhaimin appreciated IMM's steps in developing political understanding based on Pancasila values and national spirit.
He hopes that the participants of the Political Academy can gain political insight that is not only theoretical, but also applicable to face the challenges of the times.
On that occasion, Muhaimin emphasized the government's commitment to continue supporting the improvement of the quality of political education, especially for the younger generation. According to him, good political education will form competent and highly integrated future leaders.
"Through programs like this, we hope to produce leaders who are not only competent, but also have integrity in carrying out their duties," concluded the Coordinating Minister for Community Development, Muhaimin Iskandar.
