Inp.polri.go.id - Jayapura. The Damai Cartenz Task Force arrested an armed criminal group (KKB) member identified as Jayainus “Supi” Pogau, a commander under the Aibon Kogoya faction of the West Papua National Liberation Army (TPNPB), during an operation in Nabire, Central Papua.

“Jayainus Pogau was arrested at Kalibobo Market, Nabire, without resistance following intelligence surveillance,” said Brig. Gen. Faizal Ramadani, the Commander of of the Damai Cartenz Task Force, on Friday (7/11/2025), as reported by antaranews.com.

He explained that the suspect was involved in the November 2023 shooting that killed one Mobile Brigade (Brimob) officer and injured another in Intan Jaya. Pogau also allegedly supplied 31 rounds of ammunition and a cellphone to Aibon Kogoya, a prominent TPNPB leader.

The Task Force seized a traditional noken bag, two ID cards, a mobile phone, and Rp5.7 million in cash. Authorities are expanding their probe into the rebel group’s weapons network.
