The Special Detachment (Densus) 88 Anti-terror Police arrested a suspected terrorist of the Jamaah Ansharut Daulah (JAD) Terrorist network with the initials KDW (30) in Bogor, West Java. The police succeeded in apprehending KDW, suspected of having acted as a supplier of raw materials for the bomb.
"Detachment has arrested one terror suspect in Indonesia and arrested in Bogor, West Java, on behalf of the 30-year-old KDW. This is included in the Jamaah Ansharut Daulah group," explained the Karo Penmas of the Public Relations Division of the Police, Brigadier General Pol. Rusdi Hartono, at Police Headquarters, Tuesday (15/06).
In addition to the arrest of KDW, Densus 88 Anti-terror managed to secure several evidence, including chemicals such as dextran, sodium borate to HCL.
"From the suspect KDW, various chemicals were secured, including dextran, magnesium sulfate, sodium borate, HCL, sulfur, and other chemicals. This was secured from the suspect KDW," said the One Star General.
Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, said that another role for KDW was to frequently share content about JAD through his social media because the suspected terrorist was also an admin in a WhatsApp group and often discussed jihad.
"Besides that, it was also identified that KDW often spreads content about Daulah on several social media owned by it. Then this KDW also becomes the admin of one of the WA groups, of course, the WA group consists of this KDW group, which always discusses jihad and daulah," concluded Brigadier General Pol. Rusdi Hartono.
