Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesia’s 2025 state budget (APBN) deficit is projected to reach 2.78% of GDP, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati said following a meeting with President Prabowo Subianto at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Tuesday.
“The state budget outlook shows a deficit of 2.78% of GDP due to both revenue and spending factors,” she told reporters, as quoted by antaranews.com.
The meeting reviewed two key agendas, namely the draft law on 2024 budget reporting and implementation currently discussed with the House of Representatives (DPR) Budget Committee, and a mid-year evaluation of the 2025 budget performance.
The Ministry of Finance aims to secure another unqualified opinion (WTP) from the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) on the central government's financial statements. Despite fiscal pressures, Minister Sri Mulyani emphasized the government’s commitment to addressing audit findings and maintaining credible fiscal sustainability.
In 2024, the budget deficit was 2.30% of GDP, while state revenue outperformed targets with a 12.70% ratio to GDP.
