inp.polri.go.id - Subang. Subang Sub-regional Police have arrested a bunch of ATM machine burglars operating in Purwadadi District, Subang Regency, West Java.

Subang Sub-regional Police Chief, Senior Superintendent Ariek Indra Sentanu, when contacted in Subang on Sunday, confirmed that five members of the ATM machine burglars were arrested.

The five ATM burglars who were arrested had the initials AS (46), a resident of West Bandung Regency, and AK (41) from North Jakarta. Then SR (47) from Subang Regency, and MIY (36) and SIS (35) who are registered as Central Java residents.

The perpetrators were arrested early Sunday morning shortly after breaking into an ATM belonging to a government bank in West Purwadadi Village, Purwadadi District, Subang.

During the arrest, there was resistance from two perpetrators so that the police shot the perpetrators in the left leg.

The police also confiscated a number of pieces of evidence during the arrest, including a welding machine, a 50-kilogram oxygen cylinder, a three-kilogram LPG cylinder, and an ATM machine.

In addition, the police also confiscated a number of cash proceeds from the crime and a black minibus with the license plate number B 1768 EOV.

The police chief said that in carrying out their actions, the perpetrators cut the ATM machine using a welding machine, then tore it down and transported the machine using a car.

The money stored in the ATM machine was taken by dismantling it using a welding machine.

In their action of breaking into the ATM machine in the Purwadadi area, the perpetrators are estimated to have obtained cash of around Rp200,000,000.

According to their confession, the perpetrators had previously also broken into an ATM machine in the Bekasi area.
