inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo visits East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) on Monday to directly review and provide aid to the refugees of Mount Lewotobi Laki-Laki at the evacuation post.

General Sigit arrives at El Tari Kupang Airport at around 11.00 pm. In his visit, General Sigit is accompanied by the Inspector of General Supervision of INP, Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo. From the airport, they immediately flew to the evacuation post by helicopter.

The visit of General Sigit and his entourage was a follow up to the instruction of President Prabowo Subianto for the central government to be responsive in handling the victims affected by the eruption.

It was reported that the refugees staying in Konga Evacuation Post are around 1,437 people, and 1,192 in Lewolaga Evacuation Post. Meanwhile, in Bokang, 572 people are taking refuge at the evacuation post.

In addition to conducting direct reviews, the Chief of Police also brought aid ranging from blankets to clothing, basic necessities, to medicines.
