The government has sealed four tourist sites in Puncak for illegal land conversion, citing environmental damage and flood risks during an operation attended by Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs Zulkifli Hasan, Minister of Environment Hanif Faisol Nurofiq, West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi, and Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto on  Thursday (6/3/2025).

The affected sites—Pabrik Teh Ciliwung, Hibisc Fantasy, PTPN I Regional 2 Agro Wisata Gunung Mas, and Eiger Adventure Land—were found to violate zoning laws. 

"The criminal indications are clear. We will pursue legal action against all violators," said Minister Hanif, as quoted by antaranews.com

Governor Dedi pledged to restore Puncak’s ecological balance, while Regent Rudy centralized all environmental permits under his authority to prevent further violations.

Authorities are expanding enforcement along the Ciliwung River Basin, targeting illegal developments from upstream Puncak to Jakarta. The government warns businesses against unauthorized construction, emphasizing environmental responsibility and legal compliance.
