inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning Nusron Wahid stated that his office would immediately check the status of land owned by the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) in Pondok Betung Village, South Tangerang City, Banten, which is currently occupied by the Grib Jaya community organization.

Nusron emphasized that no mass organizations should claim ownership of land without strong evidence, especially if the land is state property (BMN).

"We are looking into this matter, we will provide further information as soon as possible, and these kinds of actions by any mass organization and by anyone is not allowed, especially if it concerns state property, or concerns the ownership of other people. It is not allowed," said Nusron, quoted by Antaranews in Jakarta, Friday (5/24/2025).

Nusron continued that if there is a claim of ownership of land, then those who claim it are required to show evidence. If there is a dispute, those in dispute are required to resolve the problem in court. He also said that if someone claims to be an heir of the land, his party will also check the land certificate.

Therefore, Nusron will also coordinate with BMKG and Metro Jaya Regional Police to discuss the status of the land in South Tangerang. Nusron said that BMKG has not yet checked directly with the National Land Agency.

Nusron explained that if the land does belong to BMKG, which means it is state property, the data must be recorded in the Directorate General of State Assets (DJKN) of the Ministry of Finance.

Metro Jaya Regional Police is currently investigating the case of alleged unilateral occupation of land owned by BMKG by Grib Jaya.
