inp.polri.go.id - Purwokerto. Banyumas Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) Acting Head Budi Nugroho states that a hydrometeorological disaster hit a number of areas in Banyumas, Central Java due to heavy rain accompanied by strong winds that occurred since Friday evening.

“According to the data that we have gathered, extreme weather that have been going from noon to evening has caused trees falling in six locations,” said Budi, quoted from Antaranews, Friday (1/10/2025).

Other than that, overflow floods occurred in a number of locations, such as in Sidodadi Alley, Griya Tegal Sari Indah housing complex, around Mersi Field, and Berkoh neighborhood.

Budi says that he has deployed his team to Banyumas Regency, along with volunteers, to handle the situation at the location.

“We have also prepared a rubber boat to evacuate the people,” adds Budi.

Previously, the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has issued an early warning of extreme weather that has the potential to occur in several areas of Central Java on January 10-12, 2025, one of which is Banyumas Regency.
