Inp.polri.go.id - Padang. The Ministry of Religious Affairs will soon implement the "Love Curriculum" in Islamic schools, or madrasas, to promote solidarity and prevent discrimination.
Farid F. Saenong, a special staff member to the Minister, said on Sunday (16/2/2025) the curriculum aims to ensure students respect minority groups and people of different religions.
"No madrasa student should feel entitled to discriminate," he said, as quoted by antaranews.com
Farid cited international recognition of Indonesia's religious tolerance, mentioning former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair’s praise of Indonesia as a model where Islam and democracy coexist.
The initiative aligns with a work contract between Minister Nasaruddin Umar and President Prabowo Subianto, aiming to position Indonesia as a global example of religious harmony, democracy, and welfare.
