Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesian National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo has established a Special Task Force for State Revenue Optimization to assist ministries in increasing non-tax revenue (PNBP), particularly in the fisheries sector.
Task force member Yudi Purnomo Harahap said on Friday (13/6/2025) that the team recently coordinated with the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries after field visits to fishing ports in Probolinggo and Benoa revealed widespread licensing issues among vessels operating beyond 12 nautical miles.
“Many vessels have applied for fishing permits but face long delays, limiting PNBP collection,” Yudi explained, as quoted by antaranews.com.
To address this, the task force proposed joint ministerial efforts, including a forthcoming decree allowing the Marine Ministry officers to measure vessels and new licensing service centers at key ports.
These steps, Yudi added, will expand the number of legally registered vessels, thus boosting national revenue.
The task force includes former Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) officials, with Herry Muryanto as chair and Novel Baswedan as deputy.
