Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.   The Indonesian National Police (INP) has unveiled a range of police robots—humanoid, tank, drone, and i-K9 models—as part of its modernization strategy.

“The robots represent our shift toward advanced policing. Similar initiatives have already been adopted in Thailand, China, and Dubai,” said the INP Head of Public Relations Division, Inspector General Sandi Nugroho, on Monday (30/6/2025), as reported by antaranews.com.

Robodogs, slated for 2026 procurement, will serve functions similar to K9 units but offer advantages in durability, efficiency, and maintenance. Humanoid robots are being designed for facial recognition, traffic enforcement, and public service.

The INP Chief Inspector General, Commissioner General Dedi Prasetyo, has earlier said that the robots were designed to operate in high-risks environments, reducing human exposure while increasing operational precision. The robots can assist in high-risk operations, including bomb disposal and disaster response.

The robots, built by PT Sari Teknologi, are integrated with AI and are undergoing further testing. The INP confirmed that this initiative aligns with its 2025–2045 strategic plan to enhance security operations with smart, transparent, and accountable technology.
