Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.   The Special Task Force for State Revenue Optimization is collaborating with the Ministry of Finance to enhance Indonesia’s fiscal intake.

The cooperation involves key agencies including the Directorate General of Taxes, Customs, and the Inspectorate General, which oversees non-tax state revenue.

Former investigator of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) and the Task Force Deputy Head Novel Baswedan said  on Tuesday (17/6/2025) that the task force also partners with ministries with significant revenue potential, aiming to improve governance and collection efficiency.

Recently, the Task Force coordinated with the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries after field visits to fishing ports in Probolinggo, East Java and Bali revealed widespread unlicensed offshore fishing activity. Many vessels operating beyond 12 nautical miles lack proper permits, resulting in lost non-tax state revenue.

Task Force member Yudi Purnomo said delays in the permit process are a core issue. The task force recommends capacity improvements to expedite licensing, enabling the government to capture more revenue from the sector.
