The Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police’s Mobile Brigade Unit (Brimob) has deployed extensive security measures to safeguard the 19th Session of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States (PUIC) and related meetings held from 12-15 May 2025, at the Indonesian Parliament Complex, Senayan.

Senior SUperintendent Henik Maryanto, the Metro Jaya Police’s Brimob Commander, said on Monday (12/5/2025) that eight riot control units have been mobilized, along with bomb squads, special vehicles Barracuda and AWC, and motorcycle units.

“Brimob is fully committed to ensuring national stability and security during this high-level international forum,” said Commander Henik, as quoted by antaranews.com.

Operational preparation drills were conducted on Sunday involving tactical commanders and support staff.

The PUIC event, themed “Good Governance and Strong Institutions as Pillars of Resilience,” highlights the need for clean and strong governance within OIC member states.
