inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Trade Minister emphasized that the monitoring of MinyaKita on the market, particularly in the traditional market, will be tightened.
“We will tighten our monitoring of MinyaKita, particularly in the traditional market. This step is also to ensure the availability of the cooking oil,” says the Trade Minister Budi Santoso on Wednesday (3/12/2025).
Budi explains that his party has prepared two monitoring focuses for the cooking oil. First is the monitoring of product total measure and its quality. The next one is the availability of the cooking oil in the market.
According to him, the enhancement of the cooking oil monitoring is to ensure its stock during Ramadan and 2025 Eid Al-fitr.
“We want to ensure that the product is still available so that people can enjoy their Ramadan holiday,” says Budi.
On the other hand, Budi also states that the adulterated MinyaKita has been pulled out of the market.
The Ministry of Trade together with the Indonesian Police Food Task Force have conducted checks on rogue producers who reduce the contents of Minyakita and have closed factories that violate the rules.
“If we find any product defects, we will immediately pull them out of the market. Our monitoring team along with the police food task force continue to monitor this situation everyday,:” says Budi.
