Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo highlighted the crucial role of Muhammadiyah Youth in achieving the nation’s Indonesia Emas 2045 vision, urging the youth to address key societal challenges and uphold national unity.

“Muhammadiyah Youth can help realize Indonesia Emas 2045 by fostering self-reliance, combating online gambling and drug abuse, strengthening democracy, and acting as a stabilizing force in society,” he said while addressing a Muhammadiyah Youth conference on Saturday (23/11/2024).

He warned about the growing impact of online gambling, which has spread across all social and age groups, trapping many in financial hardship.

“Youth must firmly reject online gambling, starting with Pemuda Muhammadiyah, to break its hold on society,” Chief Sigit added, as quoted by antaranews.com.

He was confident that these efforts could curb harmful practices and empower the younger generation to build a brighter future for the nation.

Chief Sigit also underscored the importance of unity.

“Solidarity among the youth is a key asset in overcoming future challenges and ensuring the nation’s progress,” he said, emphasizing that collective strength is vital for Indonesia’s development goals.
