Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk confirmed on Saturday (28/12/2024) that 309,437 vehicles returned to Jakarta, Bogor, Tangerang, and Bekasi, also known as Greater Jakarta, during the 2024 Christmas holiday period from 26 to 27 December 2024.

“This figure represents cumulative traffic flow from four main toll gates: Cikupa from Merak, Ciawi from Puncak, Cikampek Utama from Trans Java, and Kalihurip Utama from Bandung,” said PT Jasa Marga Corporate Communication Head Lisye Octaviana.

The return traffic volume increased by 14.3% compared to normal levels (270,840 vehicles).

Traffic distribution showed 45.7% (141,421 vehicles) came from the east (Trans Java and Bandung), 30.3% (93,664 vehicles) from the west (Merak), and 24% (74,352 vehicles) from the south (Puncak), according to antaranews.com.

The Trans Java route via Cikampek Utama recorded 66,506 vehicles, a 26.9% increase, while 74,915 vehicles passed through Kalihurip Utama from Bandung, a 28.5% rise. Combined, these two routes saw a 27.7% surge in return traffic.

Lisye also highlighted that drivers could take advantage of a 10% toll discount for the Trans Java Toll Road return journey from Semarang to Jakarta on Saturday, valid for 24 hours.

“This discount aims to evenly distribute traffic and minimize congestion during the holiday return flow,” she said.
