Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The North Jakarta Police Office is investigating the discovery of the body of an eight-year-old girl, identified as AR, found in a rented room on Jalan Arwana, Penjaringan, on Sunday.
“We received information about the discovery of the body from a community police officer and local residents around midnight,” said Penjaringan Police Chief Superintendent Agus Ady Wijaya on Monday (22/9/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
Initial findings showed the girl lying face up and covered in blood, with stains across the floor. The body, discovered unclothed, was in an advanced state of decomposition, suggesting she had been dead for about five days. The room itself was found in disarray.
Police processed the crime scene until 4 am and sent the body to the Indonesian National Police (INP)’s Bhayangkara Hospital in Kramat Jati, East Jakarta for autopsy. A joint team from North Jakarta Police and Penjaringan Police has been formed to investigate.
