inp.polri.go.id - Bandung. Cimahi Sub-regional Police Drug Criminal Investigation successfully arrested a college student from Cimahi City with the initials of MRP for smuggling drugs.
Chief of Cimahi Sub-regional Police, Superintendent Niko Nurallah Adi Putra says that MRP was arrested on Saturday (6/14/2025) in Melong, Cimahi City, along with the evidence of 685 grams of marijuana.
“MRP was arrested in Melong, Cimahi City for possessing 685 grams of Marijuana. According to him, he was about to graduate from his university in Bandung City,” says Niko in his statement, quoted from Antaranews on Monday (6/23/2025).
According to MRP, he smuggled the drugs to meet his college tuition fees and his daily lifestyle. In his last smuggling, he was paid IDR 700,000.
On the other hand, the Head of Cimahi Sub-regional Police Drug Criminal Investigation unit, Police Senior Inspector Hillal Hadi Imawan adds that MRP sold the weed to other college students in the area.
Hillal says that his party will continue to investigate this case to uncover the drug distribution network in the campus environment where the suspect studies.
"We are still investigating for further case development," he concluded.
