inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police explained the reasons for involving Mobile Brigade personnel in regional patrols. Some of the patrols involving mobile brigade personnel include preventing Sahur On The Road (SOTR) and brawls.

"The presence of mobile brigade in regional areas provides reinforcement for regional units, especially at vulnerable points and times," explained the Head of Public Relations of the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police, Senior Superintendent Budi Hermanto, Thursday (2/19/2026).

He explained that the mobile brigade has the capability to handle high-intensity security disturbances. However, it can also be involved in preventative activities, such as large-scale patrols, personnel reinforcements, and rapid response to prevent brawls and street crime.

Budi said that these regional patrols will provide a sense of security for motorists and workers passing through. These routine patrols, he said, are conducted during vulnerable times, with personnel stationed at specific locations as a preventative measure when a gathering could potentially lead to brawls.

"We also urge the public to report any signs of security disturbances immediately through emergency services at 110 so that we can take swift action," he said.
