inp.polri.go.id - East Kalimantan. Entering the school environment orientation period (MPLS), the Mahakam Ulu Police Narcotics Investigation Unit held a socialization event titled "Together Achieving a Smart, Character-Based Future" at High School 1 Long Bagun on Monday (7/21/2025).

This activity is a preventative measure to protect students from the threat of drugs and violence. Attended by 150 new students, the event featured speakers from the Mahakam Ulu Sub-regional Police Narcotics Investigation Unit, Brigadier Alfrianto Kurnia Palin, and Brigadier Muhammad Yusuf. The material presented covered positive character development, bullying prevention, and the negative impacts of drug abuse on students' health and future.

"We want to instill legal awareness from an early age while equipping students with the knowledge to reject drugs and avoid violent behavior," explained Brigadier Palin in his presentation.

This activity is expected to strengthen the relationship between the police and the community, particularly in the Sungai Langkai Village area, while fostering awareness of the importance of maintaining public order and security from an early age. 

Palin also expressed his appreciation to the school for providing the Sagulung Sector Police with the opportunity to participate in the MPLS (Student Action Learning) activities. He also encouraged all students to become "their own police" by staying away from drugs, not getting involved in juvenile delinquency, and always obeying traffic laws. 

"By equipping yourself with good morals and avoiding negative behavior, you will be a source of pride for your family, school, and community," quote Brigadier Palin.
