Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police Narcotics Directorate uncovered a 34-kilogram marijuana trafficking operation linked to a North Sumatra–Jakarta drug network on Saturday.

"Officers seized 34 kg of dried marijuana ready for distribution and 6.98 grams of methamphetamine," said Superintendent Ade Candra, the Head of Sub-Directorate 3 at the Metro Jaya Police Narcotics Directorate, on Sunday (16/3/2025).

Five suspects, identified as, RR, S, P, and R, were arrested, and the drugs were confiscated from three different locations across Jakarta.

The arrests followed an intelligence tip-off about a shipment from Medan in North Sumatra to Jakarta. Officers tracked and arrested the first suspect, I, leading to further seizures at rented houses in West Jakarta.
