inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Directorate of Certain Crimes of the Indonesian National Police (INP) Criminal Investigation Unit uncovered an illegal sand mining case in Klaten, Central Java. In this case, ACS as the field coordinator was named a suspect.
The Director of Certain Crimes Brigadier General Nunung Syaifuddin explained that from the results of the investigation it was discovered that the illegal mining activity had only been going on for 2 weeks. However, the estimated value of the state loss was already IDR 1 billion.
"It's only been 2 weeks and it's already IDR 1 billion, so you can imagine if this goes on for longer," he said in a press conference at the Criminal Investigation Unit HQ, Wednesday (6/11/2025).
According to him, the suspect has been detained.
"The suspect is charged with Article 158 of Law Number 3 of 2020 concerning amendments to Law Number 4 of 2009 concerning mineral and coal mining in conjunction with Article 5 and/or Article 56 of the Criminal Procedure Code with a maximum criminal penalty of 5 years and a maximum fine of IDR 100 billion," he said.
