inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Suyudi Ario Seto has launched the Police Care for Unemployment (Poliran) program to address unemployment issues and maintain public order and security.
"Why are we concerned about unemployment? Because unemployment has the potential to disrupt public order and security. We will also collaborate with the Ministry of Villages," said Suyudi at INP Headquarters, Jakarta, Friday (10/30/2026).
He explained that in its implementation, Bhayangkara Public Order and Security (Bhabinkamtibmas) personnel, along with village officials, will go directly to find people looking for work.
These people will then be trained, where the police will also collaborate with the Ministry of Manpower.
"We will provide soft skills training so that people who essentially 'need' work can return to being productive after receiving soft skills training," he said.
After receiving adequate training, these individuals will be assigned to companies in need and those that have partnered with INP.
"We will launch this program nationally. We are currently preparing for it," he said.
In addition to the Ministry of Manpower, INP is also collaborating with the Ministry of Home Affairs regarding training.
"We are also collaborating with the Ministry of Home Affairs because we will be working with the provinces. Each region has a Vocational Training Center (BLK). We will synergize with that," he said.
Through the Poliran program, Suyudi hopes that people who need work, including those who have not yet found work after drug rehabilitation, can return to their productive lives. This will reduce crime rates and maintain public order and security.
