Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto reviewed and appreciated several exhibition stands that displayed the downstreaming process of corn feed commodities to local micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) products during a working visit to Bengkayang, West Kalimantan, Thursday (6/4/2025).

President Prabowo appeared enthusiastic when visiting each exhibition stand.

Head of the Bengkayang Regency Food Security and Agriculture Service, Yulianus says there 11 types including chips, dodol, and corn syrup that are displayed on the corn processed food booth.

"He was a little surprised that corn could be made into chips, dodol, and syrup, and he was immediately interested in buying it," said Yulianus.

The President also conveyed a message to the exhibition team and UMKM actors to develop UMKM products from Bengkayang Regency.

"The message from the President to us is for us to continue develop it, then regarding the development of the corn community, the President might directly give a message to the Minister directly on what plans for the Bengkayang Regency," he said.

The review of this exhibition strengthens President Prabowo's commitment to driving the people's economy through agricultural industrialization and empowering local farmers and MSMEs, especially in border areas such as Bengkayang.
