inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran emphasized that President Prabowo Subianto demands the prices of nine basic commodities are stable to maintain people's welfare and prevent price spikes that could be detrimental to the people.

The nine basic commodities are rice, corn, sugar, chicken eggs, meat/buffalo, cooking oil, red chili peppers and others.

“Under the direction of President Prabowo, he wants that the price of nine basic commodities are maintained,” says Andi during a Closed Coordination Meeting with the Head of the National Food Agency Arief Prasetyo Adi and President Director of Bulog Novi Helmy Prasetya on Monday (2/17/2025).

According to the Minister of Agriculture, maintaining the stability of food prices is important for all parties, especially rice commodities which are currently considered to have increased production.

"According to our data, the usual production fluctuation is rice. Rice is our full responsibility. The stock of this rice is 2 million tons. So, there is no reason for the price of rice to increase," noted the Minister of Agriculture.
