Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  President Prabowo Subianto departed early Wednesday (9/4/2025) from Halim Perdanakusuma Airbase, Jakarta, for a diplomatic tour of five Middle Eastern countries: the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Turkey, Egypt, Qatar, and Jordan. 

The presidential aircraft took off around 1 am and was scheduled to land in Abu Dhabi at 6 am local time.

In a press briefing before departure, President Prabowo said the visit aims to hold consultations on the Gaza situation and strengthen bilateral ties. In Abu Dhabi, he will meet UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed to discuss global geopolitical and geoeconomic developments, as reported by antaranews.com.

From there, President Prabowo will travel to Ankara, Turkey, for a reciprocal state visit to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. He is also set to attend the Antalya Diplomatic Forum, where he will engage in broader dialogue on bilateral cooperation in trade, industry, education, and culture.

The tour continues to Egypt’s Cairo for a meeting with President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, followed by a visit to Doha to finalize key agreements with Qatar. It concludes in Amman for talks with King Abdullah II of Jordan.
