Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto has expressed his appreciation to the People’s Republic of China for its long-standing support for developing countries, including Indonesia.

Speaking at the Indonesia-China Business Reception in Jakarta on Saturday (24/5/2025), he praised China’s consistent stance against oppression and colonialism, noting its role in global solidarity.

"I want to express my respect to the People’s Republic of China for consistently defending the interests of developing countries, fighting oppression, imperialism, colonialism, and apartheid," he said before Chinese Premier Li Qiang and business leaders from both countries, as reported by antaranews.com.

President Prabowo called for deeper cooperation between Indonesia and China beyond economic ties—emphasizing friendship and strategic partnerships across sectors.

He also acknowledged China’s continued support for oppressed nations, even during its early years of development, describing this as a model of global solidarity that should form the foundation for a fairer international partnership going forward.

Premier Li Qiang’s visit included bilateral meetings and business engagements organized by Kadin Indonesia. 

Over 100 Indonesian and Chinese business leaders joined the forum to explore investment opportunities. The leaders are expected to discuss strengthening strategic cooperation across key sectors during their bilateral meeting on Sunday, highlighting the growing economic partnership between the two countries.
