inp.polri.go.id - Riau. Riau Regional Police held a running event of Road To Riau Bhayangkara Run 7.9K. This running event was attended by 790 participants from various backgrounds, ranging from professional runners, students, to running communities.
The run that covers the distance of 7.9 kilometers started on Sunday morning (6/15/2025), from Riau Regional Police headquarters at 06.00 am.
Participants of the event were ceremoniously sent off directly by the Riau Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Herry Heryawan.
"Today, I’ve seen so many enthusiastic people participating in the race and I am happy about that. For the record, this race is just a warm-up for the main event on July 13. This running event series is our celebration for the 79th Bhayangkara Anniversary," said Herry Heryawan.
Runners in this event received medals, prizes and attractive door prizes.
"Lucky participants will get door prizes and be given tree seedlings as our support for the green movement," adds Inspector General Herry Heryawan.
In his statement, Herry noted that the distance covered in the race reflects the 79th anniversary of the Bhayangkara Corps, which will be fully celebrated on July 1, 2025.
Road to Bhayangkara Run is not just a running event, but also an invitation to live a healthy life, a moment to bonding with the others, and shows that police continue to be present amidst the people.
