Inp.polri.go.id - Kupang. Ukraine's postal service, Ukrposhta, has launched a special edition stamp featuring a photo of Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto.
The stamp, commemorating Indonesia’s 8th president, was shared by the Indonesian Embassy in Kyiv on their Instagram account @indonesiainkyiv on Friday (8/11/2024), according to antaranews.com..
The embassy said in a statement that the initiative was led by the Ukrainian Initiative NGO, headed by Yurii Kosenko, an Indonesianist. Kosenko explained that the stamp was issued in celebration of President Prabowo’s inauguration.
The stamp was officially presented to Indonesia’s Ambassador to Ukraine, Arief Basalamah, at Ukrposhta’s office in Nizhyn in October, with Kosenko present.
Ambassador Basalamah thanked the Ukrposhta and the Ukrainian Initiative for the gesture, emphasizing that it reflects Ukraine’s support for Indonesia's new leadership.
Though printed in limited quantities, the stamp is officially valid for postage across Ukraine.
