“Today, I told the students at Pangkalpinang 2 High School to not get involved or join the motorbike gang as it would ruin their future,” says the Bangka Belitung Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Hendro Pandowo as quoted by Antara on Monday (1/20/2025).

According to Hendro, the education to the students about the danger of motorbike gangs is part of the step in eradicating juvenile delinquency. He saw that the motorbike gang has long been disturbing the peace of the public.

“This is part of our strategy and step in eradicating motorbike gangs from Pangkalpinang City,” says Hendro.

Furthermore, Hendro says that police mapping and apprehension towards motorbike gang members shows that many of them are still high school students.

Looking at this phenomenon, police took the initiative to prevent other high school students from joining the motorbike gang through socialization at schools.
