Inp.polri.go.id - Tolitoli. The  Indonesia National Police INP)’s counterterrorism unit Densus 88 arrested a suspected terrorist in Nalu subdistrict, Tolitoli Regency, on Thursday.

“Yes, a suspected terrorist was arrested in Kelurahan Nalu,” Nalu subdistrict head Ahyar Tauhid confirmed on Saturday (19/7/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.

The suspect, identified by initials LA (53), had lived in the area for over two decades and worked as a local chips vendor. He was arrested at his home in the Bola Indah residential complex, where he had a valid Nalu identification card.

According to local sources, the arrest surprised residents as he was known for being socially active in the neighborhood. Central Sulawesi Regional Police spokesperson Superintendent Sugeng Lestari said no official data had been received yet about the arrest.

Authorities seized two mobile phones and a bag containing documents. Suspect LA is now held at Tolitoli Mobile Brigade headquarters.
