Inp.polri.go.id - Bekasi. Most traffic violations recorded in the first three days of Operation Patuh Jaya 2025 in Bekasi Regency involved motorists driving against the flow of traffic, according to local police.
"Of the 84 vehicles ticketed during the operation’s early days, wrong-way driving was the most common offense," said Bekasi Metropolitan Sub-regional Police Head of Traffic Senior Inspector Sugihartono on Friday (18/7/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
Operation Patuh Jaya is a national traffic enforcement initiative aimed at promoting public awareness on road safety and law compliance. Wrong-way driving accounted for 27 cases, followed by 16 cases of riders without helmets and 10 cases of drivers without seatbelts in Bekasi.
Other violations included underage driving, carrying more than one passenger on a motorcycle, and driving without a license, though in lower numbers. Authorities are also monitoring offenses such as drunk driving, speeding, use of fake plates, and distracted driving.
