inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) reported that 26 students who were victims of the collapse of the Al-Khoziny Islamic Boarding School building in Sidoarjo Regency, East Java, are still undergoing intensive care in several hospitals.

"The victims are being treated at several hospitals in Sidoarjo and Surabaya-Mojokerto according to their respective medical conditions," said Abdul Muhari, Head of the BNPB Disaster Data, Information and Communication Center, Wednesday (10/1/2025).

BNPB says that the Notopuro Regional General Hospital (RSUD) is treating 40 patients, consisting of eight inpatients and treating two students who died.

Meanwhile, Siti Hajar Hospital is treating 52 patients, with 11 inpatients, one patient died, and one patient was referred.

On the other hand, Delta Surya Hospital is treating six inpatients, Sheila Medika Hospital received one patient who has been discharged and Unair Hospital is treating one inpatient.

BNPB ensures ongoing coordination with local governments, the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), and local health facilities to ensure the victims' emergency medical and logistical needs are met.

According to the Head of the Center, Abdul, in addition to medical services, a joint team of officers is also preparing psychosocial support to assist with the mental recovery of students and their families affected by this incident.

"SAR operations are still ongoing, and based on attendance data, 91 students are suspected to be buried under building materials," Head of the Center, Abdul, concluded.
