411 Monkey Pox Patients Have Been Fully Vaccinated: Jakarta Health Office

Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. Jakarta Health Office has vaccinated 411 monkey pox patients with the second doses as 495 had been inoculated with the first dose. Head of Surveillance, Epidemiology, and Immunization of Jakarta Health Office Ngabila Salama confirms the report of the second dose vaccination of 411 monkey pox patients. She also explains that the vaccinations of first and second dose has been carried out for four weeks. The inoculation of the second dose has been carried out since November 21st, 2023. Ngabila stressed that Jakarta has prepared 1,000 vaccine doses for 495 patients with each of them will be vaccinated for two doses. Moreover, officials aim to add more monkey pox vaccines as anticipation measures. “As ordered by the Health Ministry, currently the government is trying to add another 4,500 doses and 2,000 more said to be from ASEAN,” she adds. Jakarta has listed 44 monkey pox cases as of December 1st, 2023. Currently, 26 patients have completed their treatment while 16 others are still undergoing isolation treatment. (ad/as/pr/nm)
