Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. In a significant  development, Director of the Attorney General's Assistant for Special crimes (Jampidsus)  Kuntadi declared that the funds tied to the telecommunication corruption case linked to the Ministry of Communication and Informatics' 4G BTS project were indeed ill-gotten gains. "After an extensive investigation and gathering substantial evidence, we can definitively confirm that these funds are proceeds of corruption directly associated with the 4G BTS equipment procurement," he said on Tuesday (3/10/2023). The indictment in a telecommunication case heard by the Central Jakarta Corruption Court revealed beneficiaries who received substantial sums from the project, including then Minister of Communication and Information Johnny G. Plate, then BAKTI President Director Anang Achmad Latif and a number of others from the private sectors. BAKTI refers to the Telecommunication and Information Accessibility Agency , an agency under the Communications and Information Ministry. In the ongoing trial related to 4G BTS telecommunication project case, defendant Irwan Hermawan admitted collecting funds from project-related companies totaling IDR 240 billion. He admmitted that he distributed these funds to various parties, including Dito Ariotedjo, now Minister of Youth and Sports, the Supreme Audit Agency, and the Commission I of the House of Representatives. "It's important to note that much of what is presented in the trial comes from newly discovered facts uncovered during our investigation,"  Kuntadi said, adding that the trial has uncovered information about alleged fund flows aimed at influencing the investigation process. He said that the investigative team would vigilantly monitor emerging facts throughout the trial, focusing on information related to fund flows, and would take action, including compelling relevant parties to provide statements if necessary.
