inp.polri.go.id - Gorontalo. As part of their concern for communities affected by the drought, personnel from the Gorontalo Regional Police Mobile Brigade Unit distributed clean water to residents in Bakti Village, Pulubala District, Gorontalo Regency, on Wednesday (8/5/2026).

Ten personnel were deployed to the event, led by First Police Inspector Denny D. Rimbing. The clean water distribution was carried out using an Armored Water Cannon (AWC) carrying 5,000 liters of clean water to meet the community's needs.

"Based on orders from the Commander of the Gorontalo Regional Police Mobile Brigade Unit, today clean water distribution is being carried out at one location, filling a well owned by a resident, which will be used by dozens of families. From this well, water will be distributed to residents' homes using a water pump. Tomorrow, this activity is planned to be repeated at three other locations in the Pulubala District," said Denny.

Harun Mohune, a resident of Bakti Village, expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the assistance provided by the Gorontalo Regional Police Mobile Brigade personnel.

"We are very grateful to the Gorontalo Regional Police Mobile Brigade for this clean water assistance. This assistance is very meaningful for the community who are currently experiencing difficulties obtaining clean water due to the dry season," he said.

Separately, the Commander of the Gorontalo Regional Police Mobile Brigade Unit, Senior Superintendent Danu Waspodo, stated that the clean water distribution is part of their dedication to the community.

"We are present not only to maintain security, but also to provide solutions to the difficulties faced by the community. This clean water distribution is a tangible manifestation of our concern for residents affected by the drought. We hope this assistance can ease the burden on the community and will continue to strive to be present through beneficial humanitarian activities," said Danu.

Through this humanitarian activity, the police reaffirms its commitment to always being present among the community, providing the best service, and helping address various social problems faced by residents.
