inp.polri.go.id - Serang. The Serang Sub-regional Police ranks have successfully arrested 66 thugs since the Pekat Thugism Operation was held starting May 1, 2025.
Serang Sub-regional Police Chief, Superintendent Condro Sasongko, on Thursday (5/8/2025), said that most of the perpetrators of the thugs were members of community organizations.
"Since the start of the Pekat Thugism Operation on May 1, we have successfully secured 66 perpetrators from a number of locations in Serang. Most of them are members of community organizations," he explained.
Of the 66 thugs, 13 of them are being processed by law and have been named as suspects for alleged cases of threats, violence and fraud against job seekers in a number of companies.
"13 people have been processed by law and have been named as suspects, there are even two perpetrators involved in drug abuse. For the drugs, we are still developing to catch their network," he explained.
Regarding other perpetrators of thuggery, said Condro, they have been sent home because they do not meet the elements of a crime.
However, before being sent home, he first underwent a short Islamic l and spiritual guidance at the As-Salam Mosque under the guidance of the mosque's imam and the supervision of the police.
