In preparation for the upcoming 2024 elections, the Aceh Regional Police is set to dispatch an additional 1,408 personnel from various police offices to secure the distribution of election logistics to numerous polling stations, an official said on SUnday (4/2/2024). Head of the Operational Bureau of the Aceh Police, Senior Superintendent  Heri Heriyandi said that the deployment will start at 11 February 2024 in line with the schedule of the election logistics distribution, antaranews.com reported. He said that the additional personnel will be distributed among 12 sub-regional police offices in Aceh, aligning with their specific needs. He highlighted the extensive logistics distribution across 23 regencies/cities in Aceh, emphasizing the importance of security and cooperation to facilitate the smooth distribution of election materials. Chief Heriyandi said that the security of the logistics distribution for the 2024 elections remains a top priority for the police in Aceh, aiming to contribute to the success of the democratic celebration in the region.
