The Chief Unit of Samapta, AKP Cecep Edi Sulaeman, said this patrol was carried out to ensure that the animal that would be slaughtered were in good health, and there were no indications of being exposed to the FMD outbreak. On that occasion, members in the field interacted with the merchants or farmers to convey an appeal to immediately vaccinate their cows and sheeps to avoid FMD outbreaks. "In anticipation of the spread of the FMD outbreaks, the Ciamis Police always coordinates with the relevant agencies if there are livestock with FMD symptoms. Not only that, ahead of Eid al-Adha 1443 H, the Ciamis Police is increasing the guard against domesticated livestock in anticipation of livestock theft,” explained Kasat Samapta.
