inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Traffic Police Corps of National Police establishes 1,038 insulation checkpoints ahead of the Eid al-Adha holiday. Thousands of those checkpoints are spread across Java, Bali, and Lampung.
Chief of Operation Board of the Traffic Police Corps of National Police, Police Grand Commissioner Rudi Antariksa, said that the checkpoints are in operation since Friday (16/07/21).
"(The checkpoints are) to anticipate public travel that we predict would take advantage of Eid al-Adha holiday", Police Grand Commissioner Rudi Antariksa said on Sunday (18/07/21).
Chief of Operation Board of the Traffic Police Corps of National Police said that the insulation aims to reduce public mobility as an effort to push back Covid-19 transmission numbers. He ensures that people ineligible for travel requirements as stated in regulations of Emergency PPKM (Public Activity Restriction Enforcement) would be turned around.
"If the travellers cannot show travel requirements such as negative swab test result, vaccination certificate, and STRP (Work Registration Statement), they would be turned around", the Middle Officer of the Traffic Police Corps of National Police said.
