inp.polri.go.id - Makassar. The Makassar Sub-regional Police have revealed the facts behind the murder of an elementary school student with the initials NU (12). 

The victim is suspected of having been sexually assaulted before being found dead in an abandoned toilet.

Makassar Sub-regional Police Chief, Senior Superintendent Arya Perdana, confirmed the rape.

Arya explained that the perpetrator, identified as IK (19), was known to be the victim's neighbor. The suspect reportedly targeted the victim before carrying out his heinous act.

According to him, the case came to light after the police conducted a crime scene investigation and an intensive investigation. 

Based on preliminary investigation results, the perpetrator initially asked the victim to buy mineral water and biscuits on Tuesday, May 26, 2026. 

When the victim arrived, the suspect immediately dragged her to an empty house.

"The perpetrator had indeed targeted the victim," said Arya.
