Bali Police Formed a Task Force to Handle the Outbreak of FMD

inp.polri.go.id - The Bali Provincial Government and the Bali Police have worked together to form a Task Force (Satgas) on Pulau Dewata to anticipate the spread of Mouth and Nail Diseases (FMD). Bali Police Chief, Inspector General Putu Jayaan Danu Putra, said that FMD outbreaks had been detected in three areas in Bali, namely Karangasem, Gianyar, and Buleleng regencies. The handling of FMD is carried out in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) of the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB). "There are three places that has FMD cases, although the numbers are small. Our operation are in accordance with the SOP presented by BNPB, which there are certaub steps that we must take," explained the Two-Star General, Tuesday, (05/07/22). Based on information from BNPB, to anticipate FMD, a provincial to district/city level Task Force was formed. "It should be noted that based on instructions from BNPB, we formed a task force, and this task force are spread into a provincial task force and a district task force. Cooperation between elements related to the handling of FMD are very necessary," Inspector General Putu Jayan Danu Putra said. In anticipation of FMD, the Bali Police, together with related parties, have sprayed disinfectants in livestock pens in Bali. Later, the livestock will also be vaccinated. "Hopefully we can overcome all of this," closed the Bali Police Chief.
