Inp.polri.go.id - Bandung. Officials at the Banceuy Prison in Bandung thwarted an attempt to smuggle 10.64 grams of crystal meth (sabu) into the facility using a condom. 

The illicit substance was found concealed inside the rectum of a suspect, identified as S, during a scheduled visit to an inmate.

"The contraband was found hidden inside the suspect's rectum using a condom as packaging," said Eris Ramdani, the Head of the Banceuy Prison, on Monday (4/5/2026). 

The discovery involved 13 individual packets of meth intended for an inmate named Denis Setiawan.

The smuggling attempt was carried out by Denis’s younger brother, S, and a companion, identified as AS. Prison guards grew suspicious of their behavior at the main gate, leading to a thorough search. 

Preliminary investigations revealed that the pair were promised Rp1 million to successfully deliver the drugs. Banceuy Prison has since coordinated with the Bandung Metropolitan Sub-regional Police's Narcotics Unit for further investigation, while the involved inmate faces the revocation of his rights and additional legal sanctions.
