inp.polri.go.id – The Bandung Police have managed to apprehend the perpetrators of the murder in the Rancaekek area, Bandung Regency. The two perpetrators had the initials HK alias Muhadi (33) and his colleague S alias Barnet (40). Bandung Police Chief, Commissioner Kusworo Wibowo, said the two were arrested two days after committing the murder in a hidden location in the Rancabuaya area, Garut Regency. "The disclosure of this case itself began with the discovery of a corpse in the Rancaekek area, then the police investigated the source of the origin of this incident," explained the Bandung Police Chief. On the afternoon of August 17, 2022, the victim, who was about to watch the lumping horse in Rancapanjang Sukamulya Rancaekek village, met the perpetrator and got into an argument. "At the time leading up to the fight, the suspect took the victim's sharp weapon, then stabbed it into the victim's left chest and left the victim in a ditch," said the Bandung Police Chief. Knowing the victim died, the two perpetrators fled to Rancabuaya Garut, before being arrested by officers two days after committing the murder. “The perpetrators were under the influence of anger and at that time the perpetrator was also drunk so they could not think clearly. For their actions, the perpetrators were charged with Article 338 and or 351 of the Criminal Code with a penalty of 15 years in prison," said the Bandung Police Chief.
