inp.polri.go.id - The Water and Air Directorate of the Bangka Belitung Police succeeded in securing three suspects for illegal mining activities in the Sembulan Conservation Forest, Batu Ampar Beach, Penagan Village, Bangka Regency on Wednesday (24/8).
The Head of Public Relations of Bangka Belitung Police, Commissioner Maladi said that the three suspects that have been secured are H a.k.a Yandri (27) from Penagan Village, WA (51), and SA (61) from Pangkalpinang.
“These three had their own respective roles. Yandri acts as the committe, while WA as the driver along with SA,” explained the Babel Police Intermediate Officer.
The Head of Public Relations of the Bangka Belitung Police explained that the public had reported about illegal mining activities in the Sembulan Conservation Forest, Batu Ampar Beach, Penagan Village, Bangka Regency.
After receiving the report, the team immediately moved and found illegal mining activities of Sebu amounting to about 200 pontoon units.
"From the results of the arrest, the team managed to secure evidence of a black Toyota Hilux with tin sand on it with a gross weight of 1 ton, two units of green scales, a cellphone, note book, and memorandum of sale and purchase of tin sand, "said Commissioner Maladi.
The perpetrators will be charged with Article 161 of Law Number 3 of 2020 concerning Mineral and Coal, with imprisonment for a maximum of 5 years and a fine of a maximum of 100 billion rupiah.
