Inp.polri.go.id - Serang. The Narcotics Investigation Directorate of the Banten Regional Police developed a Risk-Based Integrated Surveillance Strategy for the Sumatra–Java Corridor to transform drug enforcement from a reactive approach to an anticipatory mechanism in Serang, Banten, on Saturday (31/10/2026).
"We are not changing the number of officers or equipment, but rather the way we assess situations. To make correct choices at high-density crossing points like Bakauheni–Merak, officers must know where the highest risks lie," said Sub-Directorate III Head Superintendent Andie Firmansyah.
The strategy incorporates dynamic risk mapping, digital monitoring boards, standardized data collection, and regular inter-agency coordination. By streamlining administrative procedures and shifting approximately 500 man-hours annually toward risk analysis and surveillance, Banten Police aim to disrupt adaptive drug networks and establish a replicable enforcement model for high-risk corridors nationwide.
