The Banten Regional Police held a Disaster Emergency and Forest and Land Fire Readiness Roll Call at the Banten Police Headquarters Field on Monday (3/8/2026 to strengthen personnel readiness and inter-agency coordination in anticipating disaster risks during the dry season.
"This readiness roll call is not merely a ceremonial event, but a concrete manifestation of our shared commitment and responsibility in anticipating forest and land fire risks across Banten," Banten Regional Police Chief Inspector General Hengki said
Emphasizing that prevention remains the top priority, he directed joint forces to conduct routine patrols, monitor high-risk zones, educate communities against land-burning practices, and strictly enforce laws against illegal burners.
The roll call brought together hundreds of joint officers from the military, police, search and rescue agency, local agencies, and Tagana volunteers. Banten Governor Andra Soni and also attended the inspection to evaluate emergency readiness across the province.
He commended the joint initiative, noting that peak dry season conditions forecast for August require early mitigation, equipment verification, and mapped water delivery support across affected districts.
